Privacy Policy

This policy describes the current static site and the lightweight Pageview analytics used to understand aggregate visits. It must be updated before adding advertising, forms, comments, accounts, newsletters, additional analytics, or third-party embeds. No advertising code is active as of 9 August 2026.

Pageview analytics

The site loads a deferred analytics script from app.pageview.app on public pages. On a page view, the script sends an event name, this site’s domain, the full page URL, and the referring page (when supplied by the browser) to Pageview’s event endpoint. The network request also necessarily reaches Pageview from your IP address and browser connection. We use the resulting aggregate page-view and referral reports to decide which guides need improvement.

The installed script does not set analytics cookies. It reads an optional local-storage opt-out flag named plausible_ignore; it does not set that flag during an ordinary visit. We do not send custom event properties, account identifiers, email addresses, or other intentionally collected personal details.

Because the full page URL is included, do not place names, email addresses, access tokens, or other personal information in this site’s URL or query string. This static site does not provide forms or account pages that require such data.

Essential hosting logs

Cloudflare hosts and protects the live site and may process ordinary request data such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp, and security signals to deliver, cache, and secure the service. Pageview separately receives the analytics request described above. The Pageview dashboard identifies itself as a self-managed Plausible installation that is not operated or reliability-tested by Plausible Analytics. Plausible’s public policies therefore do not establish Pageview’s operator, infrastructure, IP handling, or retention terms; those provider details remain unverified.

Cookies and local storage

This site does not intentionally set analytics cookies. Starlight’s theme control stores a local preference in your browser, and its local search runs in the browser. Pageview checks the optional plausible_ignore local-storage flag described above. No main guide answer requires JavaScript.

Links to official game, store, developer, Reddit, and support pages take you to services with their own privacy practices. This site does not control those services and does not embed them in the current build.

Future advertising

The site may apply for Google AdSense later, but no Google ad tag, ad slot, publisher ID, or ads.txt declaration is deployed now. If AdSense is enabled:

  • third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or other identifiers to serve and measure ads;
  • Google and its partners may use advertising cookies to serve ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this site or other sites;
  • visitors may opt out of personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings; and
  • if additional third-party ad vendors are enabled, their identities and opt-out paths will be added here before launch.

Before advertising is enabled, the site will also deploy any consent message required for the countries served and document whether personalized or non-personalized ads are requested. A real publisher ID will be used; placeholder IDs will not be published. An ads.txt file will be added only with the seller line supplied by the actual AdSense account.

Cloudflare Email Routing is active for the domain mailbox, but end-to-end delivery is still awaiting one test message. See Contact and Corrections for the address and current verification state. Do not send passwords, recovery codes, payment details, or unrelated personal data.

Changes

Material changes will update the effective date and the disclosures above. Additional analytics or ads will not be added silently; this page will first be updated to explain the provider, purpose, data flow, retention, and any consent behavior required for the launch market.
