How Many Dudes Best Builds — Tested Routes and Current Strategies
Direct answer: there is no verified universal best How Many Dudes build. The strongest complete result currently documented here is a Tier 1 Round 105 G.O.A.T. clear with Ghost, Wizard, Quantum, Paladin and Viking. It entered the boss at 117/117 active Dudes and won with only 16 roster Dudes conscious on the result screen. Use the Hacker–Construction route for a recorded early game, the Round 94 page for failure diagnosis, and the Lich–Thrall guide for a different build-around engine.
Evidence boundary: “best build,” “best team,” “best combo,” and “best strategy” are active Google/YouTube demand phrases as of 9 August 2026. This hub answers them by matching builds to goals and evidence—not by converting one run or several comments into a universal tier list.
Current build comparison
Section titled “Current build comparison”| Build | Best fit | Evidence level | Core jobs | Main risk |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier 1 Round 105 G.O.A.T. clear | A complete Gold Star outcome with exact late-game milestones and result statistics | Owner-recorded Rounds 61–105, exact 117/117 pre-fight roster and victory screen; Rounds 1–60 not supplied | Wizard damage, Quantum healing/Echoes, Paladin saves, Viking prevention, Ghost support | Exact Relics and early route are incomplete; one clear is not a universal best-team ranking |
| Act 1 Hacker–Construction route | A reproducible Rounds 1–20 opening with visible choices | Owner-played PC screenshots and notes; exact build/mode/Tier and clear screen not captured | Construction frontline, Warlock Pact pressure, Hacker burst, Explorer/Mutant healing | Exact Relic sequence depends on RNG; evidence stops at Round 20 preparation |
| Hacker progression through Round 60 | Continuing the same six-Type direction through Acts 2 and 3 | Uncut owner video for Rounds 21–60, timestamp-reviewed screens and short clips | Convert spare Regulars, keep core Types active, balance recovery with emergency damage | Capacity can grow faster than conscious combat strength |
| Tier 1 Round 94 failure analysis | Diagnosing a late-run collapse with a complete result table | Owner-recorded pre-fight state, battle excerpt and Tier 1 defeat screen | Active-count recovery, encounter choice, damage/healing/defense attribution | Not a clear; Rounds 61–80 are missing and the mixed Round 94 branch is untested |
| Lich and Thralls | A damage-routing and Revenant engine with flexible Thrall jobs | Official mechanic/Relic definitions plus current attributed community reports | Lich routes damage; Thralls store it and may gain Revenant; support covers recovery and bosses | No settled Lich-to-Thrall ratio; early engine can fail before core pieces appear |
Choose by the problem you are solving
Section titled “Choose by the problem you are solving”I want a proven Tier 1 Round 105 clear
Section titled “I want a proven Tier 1 Round 105 clear”Use the Ghost–Wizard–Quantum–Paladin–Viking G.O.A.T. clear. The footage covers Rounds 61–105 and records the exact boss setup: 117/117 Dudes against 1 G.O.A.T. and 250 Rams under Swampy Grounds.
The result table shows why the team worked as a system. Wizard led damage, Quantum led healing, Paladin led saves, Viking led prevention, and emergency consumables were visibly used. It is a verified successful case, not proof that the same five names guarantee a clear without the captured support layers.
I want a safer Act 1 route
Section titled “I want a safer Act 1 route”Start with the Hacker–Construction–Warlock route. It provides round milestones, 12 optimized owner screenshots, a recorded 24-slot Type allocation, merchant rules, and substitutions when a named Relic does not appear.
The defensive layers are deliberately redundant:
- Construction provides a 200-Max-HP first contact point and later Lunch Pail recovery.
- Warlock slows incoming damage through Pact and can Taunt.
- Explorer and Mutant react to different healing conditions.
- Smelling Salts, Half-Full Glass, White Hat, and Ear Gauges add separate recovery or fatal-damage checks.
The cost of that safety is a wide six-Type roster and broader Family access, which can enlarge the documented Relic pool.
I want to continue the same build after Act 1
Section titled “I want to continue the same build after Act 1”Use the Rounds 21–60 Hacker progression. It adds uncut Act 2 and Act 3 video evidence for Merchant Dude, Dude Whisperer, Food Dude, Smuggler, Relic/Trinket offers and the Round 60 emergency-consumable sequence.
The route’s most reusable lesson is not one mandatory item. It is the difference between future capacity and conscious bodies. The captured counter moves from 26/29 at Round 25 to 52/123 at the Round 60 reward flow, so recovery and conversion timing become part of the build—not cleanup after the build.
I want evidence about Round 95, Round 100 or Round 105
Section titled “I want evidence about Round 95, Round 100 or Round 105”Compare the Tier 1 Round 94 failure analysis with the Round 105 clear. The failed run enters Round 94 with 41/110 displayed Dudes. The successful run shows 103/107 at Round 95, recovers to 111/111 at Round 99, and reaches the boss at 117/117.
The successful recording also settles one common ambiguity: Round 100 is followed by The Coliseum, Act 6; the captured Tier 1 G.O.A.T. clear occurs at Round 105.
I want a build-around engine
Section titled “I want a build-around engine”Use the Lich build and Thrall guide. Lich is not simply another damage dealer: Enthrall routes 70% of incoming Lich damage into Thralls and expels it after three seconds. If the pulse is fatal, the Thrall heals and gains Revenant.
This makes the key decision what job each Thrall performs:
- durable reservoir;
- Revenant carry;
- knockout/recovery engine;
- protected carry affected by Unholy Grail roster order.
The page shows why one-to-many, roughly 1:1, and more-Liches-per-Thrall reports can all exist without proving one universal ratio.
I want the best Hacker direction
Section titled “I want the best Hacker direction”The current official Hacker entry supports an Exploit and Crit direction, and the developer guide explicitly proposes stacking many Hackers with Crit Chance. The Act 1 route is one concrete implementation:
- Firewall adds Max HP and Crit Damage;
- White Hat can turn one fatal event into Invulnerability and two Exploits;
- Jazz Flute adds short Crit Chance after an Evade;
- the recorded Round 20 Flyer cap reaches seven Hackers.
This is a build direction, not proof that Hacker ranks above all 41 other Dude Types in every mode and Tier.
I want the best healer or sustain package
Section titled “I want the best healer or sustain package”No universal healer is ranked here. The Act 1 route uses Explorer + Mutant because their triggers differ: Canteen reacts below 30% HP, while Floofballs are generated by Mutant Direct Damage and attach to endangered Dudes. That pairing is evidence-backed for this route, not a conclusion that two healer Types are always optimal.
The developer’s current guide recommends matching stats, Relics, teammates, and Trinkets to the chosen Dude rather than treating any Dude as intrinsically weak. Use the official Dudex to check the current effect before committing a run.
How to judge a build claim
Section titled “How to judge a build claim”Before copying a “best build,” record these fields:
| Field | Why it changes the claim |
|---|---|
| Patch or executable version | Balance and wording can change after a guide is published |
| Mode and Challenge Tier | Starting Flyers, pool state, constraints, and target bosses differ |
| Round or boss reached | “Good at Round 20” and “cleared Tier 1 Round 105” are different outcomes |
| Roster counts and active counts | A capacity plan does not prove every Dude was conscious in the decisive fight |
| Decisive Relics and Trinket bindings | The same Dude Types can behave like different builds |
| Consumables and economy | Emergency tools and shop spending can cause the result, not just the roster |
| Full run evidence | A selection screen proves a choice; a result screen or uncut run proves an outcome |
This site’s labels are:
- Verified: current official source or direct current-game observation.
- Reported: a credible public run, video, discussion, or guide with attribution and visible limits.
- Derived: a reproducible conclusion from Verified inputs with its method shown.
- Unknown: the checked evidence does not establish the claim.
Build queue and stop rule
Section titled “Build queue and stop rule”Google/YouTube suggestions currently expose Vampire, Zombie, Ghost, Wizard, tier-list, Tier 2, Tier 3, world-record and late-round build demand. The Round 94 page answers the late-run diagnostic task with first-party evidence; it is not converted into a universal tier list. Other pages remain unpublished until their evidence review is complete.
